SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE
The religious leaders and exorcists of Jesus’ day often failed to cast out certain spirits. They used formulas, rituals, and traditions, but without understanding the principle of identity.
When Jesus faced the man possessed by a legion of demons, He did not shout or use long prayers first. He simply asked: “What is your name?”
✅ The spiritual truth here:
– Legion means “many, a large army.” By revealing their name, Jesus exposed their nature, their strength, and their assignment.
– As soon as the name was known, authority was established. The demons could no longer hide or operate in mystery. They had to obey and leave.
– The enemy works best in darkness and secrecy. When you bring his identity and works into the light, he loses his power.
Why this applies to you:
If a problem, a habit, or a spiritual attack remains unnamed and unknown, it will keep tormenting you. But when you identify it, call it what it is, and bring it under the name of Jesus, it must bow.
