ASCENDING TO EXCELLENCE
WE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD
The temple that Solomon built consisted of three dimensions (1 Kings 5–9):
The Outer Court – represents the body
The Inner Court (Holy Place) – represents the soul (mind, will, emotions)
The Holy of Holies – represents the spirit, where God dwells
This applies to those who are filled with the Spirit of God. We carry God’s presence just like the Ark of the Covenant did. In fact, the Ark was a shadow of things to come—we are now the reality as the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:16 – “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”
Understanding this truth helps us live holy and intentional lives.
1 Peter 1:16 – “Be holy, for I am holy.”
ADMONITION
Do not live carelessly. You carry God’s presence.
Let your life reflect holiness—in your words, actions, and thoughts.
Be conscious daily that you are not ordinary; you are God’s dwelling place.
PRAYER
Father, thank You for making me Your temple.
Help me to live a life that reflects Your holiness.
Let my body, soul, and spirit align with Your will.
I receive grace to walk in purity and obedience, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
