PART 1: THE MISUNDERSTANDING ABOUT PERFECTION

SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE

❌ The Common Wrong View

Many believe that perfection means never making mistakes, never having weaknesses, never struggling with thoughts or feelings, and always doing everything exactly right. This view creates unnecessary pressure, guilt, and fear — and it does not align with how God created us or how He relates to us.

✅ The Biblical Truth About Perfection

Perfection in God’s eyes means wholeness, completeness, and being exactly as designed and intended to be at each stage of life.

As we have seen:

“If you were born with 10 toes and 10 fingers, everything in the right place, and you speak your mother tongue correctly — you are born perfect in the sight of God.”

This illustrates:

– Design perfection: God created every part of you with purpose. When you function according to how He made you, you are perfect in your nature. A baby is perfect as a baby; a young person is perfect as a young person; an adult is perfect as an adult. Each is complete for their stage.

– Spiritual perfection: Spiritually, perfection is first a matter of standing, not performance. Through Jesus, you are made perfect in your position before God, even while you are still growing in character and understanding.

– Maturity vs perfection: Perfection means being whole; maturity means growing to your full potential. You do not have to be fully mature to be perfect in God’s eyes.
