PART 1: ADAM — NAMING = DOMINION

🎯 INTRODUCTION

Many people struggle to walk in victory because they do not understand one of the oldest and most powerful spiritual laws in the Bible: To name something is to take authority over it.

From the beginning of creation, through the ministry of Jesus, right down to how we raise our children and manage our lives, this principle remains active. When you understand it, you will stop being ruled by unknown forces and start walking in the dominion God intended for you.

📜 SCRIPTURE FOUNDATION

– Genesis 2:19–20 – “Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.”

– Mark 5:6–13 – “Then He asked him, ‘What is your name?’ And he answered, saying, ‘My name is Legion, for we are many.’”

– Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

– Proverbs 18:21 – “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

– Luke 10:19 – “Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

When God created the earth, He gave man a clear mandate: “Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Genesis 1:28).

He did not just give Adam power; He gave him a method to exercise that power. He brought every creature to Adam so he could name them.

✅ What this means:

– Naming was not just giving a label — it was defining their nature, purpose, and place.

– By naming them, Adam acknowledged their identity and placed them under his stewardship.

– What you name, you govern; what you leave unnamed remains outside your control.

This is why confusion, fear, and chaos often exist where things are left undefined. When you do not name your purpose, your boundaries, or your calling, you leave room for other forces to define them for you.
