SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE
Luke 15:11–24
The younger son demanded his inheritance early, left home, and wasted everything in reckless living. He sank so low he longed to eat what the pigs ate. When he returned, he planned only to ask for work as a servant, saying, “I am no longer worthy to be called your son.”
But while he was still far off, his father saw him, ran to him, embraced him, and restored him fully — giving him the best robe, a ring, shoes, and the status of a son again.
Key Truths:
-
He knew he did not deserve it.
-
Mercy met him before he cleaned himself up.
-
Restoration went beyond forgiveness — he received sonship, just as Christ secured for us.
-
God says: “This is yours” — not because you earned it, but because His love is greater than your failure.
