PART 5: SUMMARY OF TRUTHS

SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE

1\. Perfection = wholeness according to God’s design, and a perfect standing before Him through Christ — not never making mistakes.
2\. Holiness = being set apart by God’s grace as your position, and growing into that reality as your practice.
3\. Growth = a natural process that takes time, just as a tree matures before bearing fruit. There is no instant maturity.
4\. Foundation = all of this is made possible because Jesus died to take our judgment, was buried to end our old life, and rose again to give us new life and the power to grow.
5\. Perspective = rest in your standing, trust the process, and know that God is the one who completes the work He started.

📜 KEY SCRIPTURES

“For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”
— Hebrews 10:14

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
— 2 Corinthians 3:18

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
— Philippians 1:6

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
— John 15:5

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
— Galatians 5:22–23

🙏 TRAINING PRAYER

Lord God, thank You for the truth of Your Word. Thank You that I am perfect in Your sight according to Your design — whole and complete just as You created me. Thank You that Jesus did not come only to change my behaviour, but to change my standing forever. I believe that He died to take the curse and judgment against me, was buried to put an end to my old way of living, and rose again to give me new life and Your power within me.
I understand now that holiness means being set apart by You, not that I must never make mistakes. Help me to accept that growth takes time, just as a tree takes years to mature and bear fruit. Teach me to be patient with myself and others, knowing that You are the Gardener nurturing my life. I rest in Your finished work and trust that You will complete the good work You have started in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

✨ DAILY DECLARATIONS

1\. I am perfect in God’s sight — whole, complete, and exactly as He designed me to be.
2\. Jesus died for my sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day — my standing before God is forever secure.
3\. Holiness is my position first: I am set apart by God’s grace, and my life grows to reflect that truth each day.
4\. Growth is a natural process; I do not have to bear fruit immediately — I only need to stay connected to the Source of life.
5\. The power that raised Christ from the dead lives in me, working patiently to strengthen me and produce good fruit in my life.
6\. I do not condemn myself when I make mistakes; I rest in God’s grace and continue to grow.
7\. Just as a tree matures through seasons, God is nurturing me, and in His perfect time, I will bear fruit that remains.

📝 STUDY AND DISCUSSION POINTS

1\. How does God’s definition of perfection differ from the common understanding people have today?
2\. Explain clearly the difference between standing and practice in the Christian life.
3\. Why is the illustration of the tree so helpful when we feel discouraged about our rate of growth?
4\. How does each part of Christ’s work — death, burial, and resurrection — support the truths taught here?
5\. How would you explain these truths to someone who feels they can never be “good enough” for God?
6\. What does it mean practically to “abide” or stay connected to God so that growth happens naturally?
7\. How does knowing these truths change how you view your past mistakes and your present struggles?
